We are pleased to announce that as of Monday 18th May the club is now open again in a limited capacity.
A copy of our policy document is available here which sets out the regulations that the club has adopted in order to facilitate the re-opening. We ask that you read this document carefully and if, for any reason, you feel that you will be unable to adhere to any of these regulations, we would respectfully ask that you do not attend the club at this time.
The guidelines were amended as of 1st June to allow both singles and doubles play for croquet and tennis, but groups are still restricted to four persons maintaining social distancing. Coaching is now also resumed but restricted to four players plus one coach per group. Time on courts and lawns can be booked through the ClubSpark online booking system and through the Clubspark Booker app. Booking is only available to paid up club members who are registered with Clubspark. Please do not turn up and expect to play without having made a booking. Croquet players may also make a booking by contacting Pam Sim.
Taking into account the safety and wellbeing of all our members, we will reserve the right to ask members who are found to be in breach of the terms of play to leave the grounds.
Active current Members (i.e. those who have paid their subscriptions for the 20/21 year) will receive an email inviting them to register with ClubSpark. Bookings can then be made either via the Clubspark website or via the ClubSpark Booker app, which can be downloaded to mobile phones. To make bookings via Clubspark you must register with Clubspark using the link sent to you which will allow your account to access the RLTCC booking page as a member and you must be logged in to your Clubspark account. The ClubSpark system is currently very busy as many clubs look to restart their tennis programs so please be patient.
To help meet with track and tracing requirements the pay-and-play facility for non-members is suspended until further notice. However members may invite guests to play with members, subject to a charge of £6.00 (adults) and £3.00 (juniors) per visit for maximum of 4 visits or a weekly membership of £25.00 (adults) and £15.00 (juniors). Members are responsible for booking courts and collecting the relevant guest fees, which should be passed to the membership secretary with a list of guests.
We hope to see as many members as possible out enjoying time on the courts and lawns in the coming weeks and hopefully we will return to less restricted play in the not too distant future.
